How it works

    Write a formula

    Pass table columns, like Sales.Region and Sales.Revenue. Raw rows are fine: repeated labels are summed, and seriesBy splits a column into series.

    The Pack renders it

    The columns go to a small rendering service built on Apache ECharts. It lays out the chart with a colorblind-checked palette and draws a 2× PNG.

  3. 3

    A chart lands in your doc

    The image is attached to the doc like any other. Change a cell and the formula recalculates and redraws it.

  • 17 chart formulas plus Chart() for any ECharts option.
  • Grouping built in: sum, average, count, min or max; sort by value or label.
  • Three themes: paper, dark and navy, with number formats for currency, percent and compact.
  • Private by design: the renderer only accepts requests from Superhuman's Pack servers. Rendered images are cached for 7 days so repeat views are instant; the data you send isn't stored or logged.

Public datasets, loaded as ordinary tables and charted with one formula each.

Editor

Paste your own data, pick a chart, and copy the formula into your doc. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Getting it

Superdocs Charts is in private beta and not yet listed in the Pack gallery. When it is, you'll add it from Insert → Packs in any doc and start typing =ColumnChart(.
